Thrilled with our little girl, arrived 2/27/09

Hook 'em Horns

Our 6 week old daughter already knows where she's going. :) She'd doing great, gaining weight (check out those cheeks) and just beginning to think about sleeping for more than 3 hours at night, for which mom and dad are very thankful.

We're still adding pics when we get the chance, so keep checking out the family gallery section.

Love Chris and Ang

She's 3 weeks old

Audrey is 3 weeks old now, and doing great. We don't know how much weight she's gained but I'd guess it's substantial. We had a lot of friends come visit us over the last week- we'll be sure to update the gallery. Take care!

She's 2 weeks old

Our girl's 2 weeks old, and on her two week checkup, she weighed in at 8 lbs, 5 ounces-- up from 7 lb 4 oz at birth. She's eating well and starting to learn that night-time is for sleep :)

Keep checking the family photo gallery for new pictures. I'm going to messing with the photo gallery site a little bit so it may look different next time you visit. Also, we're adding pictures to existing galleries so you may want to revisit "Audrey's first week" again.

Audrey Christine was born on Friday 2/27/09 at 10:20 pm. Angela and I are overjoyed, and very thankful for all of our friends and family that have come to visit us, called, emailed, prayed,  or have just been thinking about us. Thanks you!

Audrey was 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21.5 inches long at birth. She had a little problem transitioning to air breathing at first, but then she calmed down as started getting the hang of it. She spent her first night with Mom and Pop at the hospital, and has been with us ever since.

Audrey- 4 days old

Audrey comes from Old English, meaning "noble strength." Her Mom's middle name is Christine, and it's also pretty close to her dad's first name. It was a toss-up between Christine and Elizabeth for the middle name, but then my A/C in the truck went out on the way to the hospital (it was 80-something degrees) as I was thinking about this-- so A/C = Audrey Christine. And that's the story, and I'm sticking to it.

Mom did great after a long 'early labor' phase. From Tuesday night on, Ang never went more than 15 minutes between strong contractions, so when we went to the Doc's on Friday morning and were 4 cm, we were ready to roll and headed over to the hospital across the street.

They broke the bag of water at 1pm, she got an epidural at 2pm, some Pitocin at 3pm,  was ready to push by 7pm, started pushing around 8pm (Doc was in a c-section) and Audrey Christine arrived at 10:20. Special thanks to nurse Lori, Tamara, Dr. Meritt, Dr. Collins, and Dr. Silverberg and their entire staff.

The beautiful mother-to-be

Before the birth, I took some pics of Angela- they really turned out nice. You can see more in the "Family Photo Gallery" section.

Our wedding pictures-- in book form!

We're famous :) Just kidding.

Because Angela is gorgeous, the location we chose, and the skill of the photographer, our love story and some of our pictures were included in a coffee table book that was recently published.

The book is called Spectacular Weddings of Texas: A Collection of Texas Weddings and Love Stories (Spectacular Wineries series) (Hardcover) by Jolie Carpenter (Author)

It's available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc if you need a hard copy. Otherwise just browse our picture gallery (Click on "Family Photo Gallery" button above) to see the pictures and email us if you want a higher resolution of any picture.
